“Waves” is an interactive kinetic sculpture that generates waveforms with a spinning elastic rope whenever the sculpture detects nearby movement (video).

SHANGHAI – The artist  Hong Yi , alias Red, just made this portrait of the famous Chinese director  Zhang Yimou with 750 pairs of socks. The socks are attached with pins and sets on bamboo sticks.

phenomenal shadow art piece by Kumi Yamashita – the artist mounts a carefully cut piece of aluminum on the wall, that forms a shadow of two figures once the light hits it.

HOME

Home is a recent sculptural installation by Colombian artist Miler Lagos. The piece was constructed at MagnanMetz Gallery late last year using carefully stacked books to create a compact dome that is entirely self-supporting.
