Mexican artist Pedro Reyes presents a musical instrument crafted from discarded firearms as part of his ‘Imagine’ project at his studio in Mexico City. The assortment of guns came from a cache of seized weapons collected by the police and army that Reyes transformed into musical tools.

“Landfill Harmonic” is an upcoming documentary about a tiny village called Cateura, built atop garbage, in Paraguay. More specifically it is about Luis Szaran, Favio Chavez Moran, and a group of children who play in an orchestra with instruments made of trash. I got a little emotional watching this.
